Artist's Comments

My boss at the sign shop had me design these posters which we sell to hair salons as decor. They're drawin in pencil, scanned into illustrator and constructed using the pen tool. About a billion objects and six or so layers. I'm actually proud of these. They're about the best looking women I've ever drawn. Sure, they're crazy skinny, but it's a stylized thing anyway.

Awesome! :D I cant believe how detailed it is...! It would take YEARS before I'd come up with anything as good as this

You'd be surprised, especially when you're working in a vector-based kind of program. You make some walls and a floor, but then it looks like it needs some windows. Okay, then what's outside?...well, some silhouettes of buildings and stuff. The walls can use some shelves, and stacks of merchandise...etc etc. It really starts to build itself after a while, you know? You can move stuf around, copy objects, etc.

Thanks for the comment, B2a
